You have read the books, watched the videos, and thought seriously about becoming a coach. Still, when you imagine taking the next step, a familiar question appears: “Who am I to do this?”
Sometimes more learning is needed. Sometimes you already have enough information to begin learning through practice, but uncertainty keeps moving the starting line.
Confidence often develops after you try something. You ask a question, listen carefully, receive feedback, and discover what you can improve. Those experiences give you evidence that preparation alone cannot provide.
Start with a manageable opportunity. Practice with a willing peer in a clearly agreed learning setting. Notice where you rush, where you listen well, and what you find difficult. Seek feedback from someone qualified to help you develop.
You do not have to pretend to know more than you do. Being honest about your experience allows you to grow responsibly.
If you are waiting to feel completely confident, consider what a supported first step could look like. Confidence can grow alongside competence as you learn, practice, and reflect.
Your doubts deserve attention. They do not have to make every decision for you.
