Certified Recovery Coach

CERTIFIED RECOVERY COACH COURSE

Live Online Group Class

The Certified Recovery Coach course was created by Barbara Wainwright and Joe Drews in 2009 and has been recently updated by Jon Wainwright in 2017 and again by Barbara Wainwright in 2021. Joe Drews comes from a strong recovery background and has worked with many recovery institutions and organizations. Both Barbara and Joe know the ins and outs of the recovery process and just how daunting that can be. WGI’s Certified Recovery Coach Course has already helped many of our graduates be successful in the recovery community.

It is well known that every year billions of dollars are spent on recovery from an addiction of some sort, which has created more and more costly solutions to an age-old problem.

This course provides not only the knowledge to handle the addict, wounded family members and friends, in addition, it provides knowledge on how to understand the recovery community. You no longer have to have suffered from an addiction to help someone in need of recovery, you just need to understand the disease. WGI’s Certified Recovery Coach course covers all addictions, including Co-Dependency. WGI’s Certified Recovery Coach course is conducted by Certified Master Coach Jon Wainwright who with his vast knowledge of recovery, has brought his personal insight and personality to the course. He shares insightful tips and draws from his own personal experiences. Being a recovered addict himself, his personal philosophy is: “There’s always hope, once an addict is ready to change.”

WGI courses are led by experienced Master Coaches who have been selected for their professional expertise, passion for the coaching profession and genuine commitment to every student’s success.

Enrollment in the course is limited to ten students so each person has optimal attention from the Master Coach.

You will learn the Wainwright Method of Coaching and will begin changing lives before you even leave the class!

Testimonials

Josette Veltri

I currently work a group facilitator at Insight For Recovery. I believe to be the best coach I can be is to learn as much about individuals who are addicted. Jon gave me that knowledge by sharing his experience and I appreciated the honesty of the facilitator and his willingness to share. I would recommend this course to any coaches interested in building their knowledge as coaches. Reason – I know there are many addicts that are not substance users but are charge addicts, addicted to rage addicts, and more.

Deborah Staelens-Goode

What I liked most about the course was the instructor Jon. His personal experience is necessary to be a master coach in this area (my opinion). Good information presented. Good instructor, good platform, and good material. Thank you.

Shari Salomon

Diane C. Johnson-Loush

What I liked most about the Certified Recovery Coach course was that Jon kept it real with shared experiences from the client’s perspective, as well as the coach’s perspective. Materials were well organized & thorough. I would recommend this course because of the positive aspects I already noted, & we receive useful materials for use going forward with clients.

Skip Bailey

The course opened my eyes to other aspects of recovery that I was not aware of, and also challenged me to look back at my own situation. I would recommend this course because the information that I’ve learned will help me to coach my clients better, along with the knowledge that I already have. GREAT COURSE!

Kerri Gallia

It was a good review of addiction and i liked knowing the difference in sponsorship and addiction coaching. Also the homeostasis part was interesting. I would recommend this course because it is solid overview as to what recovery coaching is vs recovery sponsorship.

Angel J. Lopez

Definitely, I would recommend this course. This course has the steps, techniques, and practices; very accurate and I enjoyed learning about the personality differences. Now I’m more prepared to coach my clients.

Catherine L. Baldessarini

The instructor was excellent and it made learning fun and interesting. I would recommend this course, ABSOLUTELY! In my opinion our society needs to understand the disease of addiction and this is a great learning tool for that.

Deana Burnham-McKettrick

I appreciated most the relaxed lecture style and interactive aspect of Mr. Jon Wainwright’s methods of presenting and instructing class. I think it has all the hallmarks and qualities of a university level class on this subject. I am a credentialed health science teacher at the secondary level and Mr. Wainwright introduced me to aspects of recovery and intervention which I had not considered in a long time, neither in theory or practice! He has an approach which is fresh, appealing, and well informed. He presents the medical model/science model for reflection and value. Mr. Wainwright’s teaching is compassionate, state-of -he-art, and professional. His presentation and instruction is also informed by his invaluable experiences–those of his personal battles and final on-going victory! Mr. Wainwright’s work is world class! I highly recommend him as a trusted and highly respected Master Coach and Teacher in the area of Recovery Coaching! My husband, Tim, and I have shared our reflections and expressed that this course and Master Coach, Jon Wainwright, are an answer to one of our most vital prayers! We’ve had a lot of enriching experiences, but none which opened Tim up to me like today! We are being coached and trained simultaneously and this is in my opinion the best way people learn. Thank you to you and your son!! Respectfully, Deana and Tim
